The Drumbeat for a War against Iran - November

Updated January 23, 2007
83. Odierno points to Fewer Iranian EFPs – November 01, 2007.
"The number of armor-piercing bombs in Iraq that the United States says have been provided by Iran has declined in the past few months, a senior U.S. commander said on Thursday. Army Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, the U.S. top commander in Iraq for day-to-day operations, said it was too soon to say whether the drop meant Iran had cut back on smuggling arms into Iraq. Odierno, the commander of Multi National Corps Iraq, said his force had recorded 53 EFP incidents in October, 30 explosions and 23 devices found before they had detonated. The total in September was 52, in August it was 78 and in July it was a record high 99, Odierno said. "They might have slowed the rate of sending EFPs in, I just can't tell you right now because it's too soon. I think in a couple more months we'll be able to give you a better idea of that," Odierno said." (Andrew Gray ‘U.S. sees decline in Iran-linked bombs found in Iraq’ http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071101/ts_nm/iraq_usa_iran_bombs_dc November 01, 2007).

84. The Likudniks’ Islamophobic Propaganda increasing support for War against Iran – November 01, 2007.
"And an increasing number of Americans are falling for it. A new Zogby poll says 52 percent of the American people favor attacking Iran to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons. A recent Pew survey similarly indicates that war hysteria is on the rise, with 82 percent convinced that a nuclear-armed Iran would pass off nukes to terrorists, and two-thirds believing Iran is likely to attack the US. The yearlong hate-fest directed at Tehran is clearly paying off." (Justin Raimondo 'Invade and Bomb With Hillary and Rahm': Why war with Iran is likely’ http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=11846 November 2, 2007).

85. Bush outlines the Zionists’ Strategy for World Domination – November 01, 2007.
George bush’s speech on the so-called war against terrorism basically regurgitated norman podhoretz’s zionist extremism. (See also Section 56. Bush and Podhoretz organize Publicity stunt for War - September 24, 2007). For many years ariel sharon had bush "wrapped around his little finger" and now podhoretz seems to be mentoring bush in militant, zionist, extremism. This section will first highlight podhoretz’s views, then those of other assorted zionist fundamentalist, in order to compare them with bush’s propaganda.

Podhoretz’s Views.
Long held Desire to push America into a War against the Greater Middle East.
"After the axis-of-evil speech threatening war on Iraq, Iran and North Korea, Podhoretz wrote that Bush had not gone far enough. The "regimes that richly deserve to be overthrown ... should extend to Syria and Lebanon and Libya, as well as 'friends' of America like the Saudi royal family and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, along with the Palestinian Authority." After toppling them all, wrote Podhoretz, as he mocked the "timorous ... incorrigibly cautious Colin Powell," let's find "the stomach to impose a new political culture on the defeated."" (Patrick J. Buchanan ‘Is a Vote for Rudy a Vote for War?’ http://www.antiwar.com/pat/?articleid=11880 November 9, 2007).

Support for World War IV against Islamofascism.
"He wants Bush to adopt the name World War IV to encourage Americans to see Iraq as an episode in a grander struggle, as epochal as the battle against the Axis powers in World War II and the Communists in the Cold War (which Podhoretz dubs World War III). The enemy in this case is not Iraqi insurgents, or even al-Qaeda, but Islamofascism." (Scott McConnell ‘In Search of Forever War’ Review of Norman Podhoretz’s ‘World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism’ http://www.amconmag.com/2007/2007_09_24/review1.html September 21, 2007).

Podhoretz regards all those who resist Jewish/American occupations of Middle Eastern countries as Islamofascists.
The jews invaded palestine and the americans invaded afghanistan and iraq. All those who resisted these invasions are lumped together as a group which the likudniks call islamofascism even though prior to these invasions these groups have had no contact with each other and little in common. This enables the jews to pretend that their enemies are the same as america’s enemies and that jews and americans need to unite to fight this common enemy. "It is worth noting that this term (islamofascism), unlike "Communist" or "Nazi" or "Fascist," is not one the adversary has chosen for himself. It is instead of fairly recent invention and is now deployed as a propaganda tool to persuade Americans that all of their various Muslim foes, be they real, latent, violent, non-violent, or even fanciful, are pretty much alike. Thus Palestinian nationalists, Sunni Islamist terrorists, Shi’ite radicals, Ba’athist insurgents, and most especially the government of Iran are to be considered part of the same "two-headed monster." (Scott McConnell ‘In Search of Forever War’ Review of Norman Podhoretz’s ‘World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism’ http://www.amconmag.com/2007/2007_09_24/review1.html September 21, 2007).

Podhoretz believes so-called Islamofascists are not opposed to Jewish/American occupations of their Lands but are solely dedicated to America’s Destruction.
"Defining the adversary is a way to guarantee, in Michael Vlahos’s apt phrase, a "Forever War" that will continue as long as there are regimes to be labeled "fascist," Muslims who resist American military presence in their lands, and, of course, people who oppose Israel for any reason. Islamofascists, claims Podhoretz, "like the Nazis and the Communists before them … are dedicated to the destruction of the freedoms we cherish and for which America stands." Perhaps aware that this claim would come as news to anyone with professional or passing firsthand knowledge of the Arab world, Podhoretz brandishes a torrent of quotations from people with Muslim names. See, he says, citing a sentence from some Palestinian cleric who rails against America, Israel has nothing to do with their hatred!" (Scott McConnell ‘In Search of Forever War’ Review of Norman Podhoretz’s ‘World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism’ http://www.amconmag.com/2007/2007_09_24/review1.html September 21, 2007).

Islamofascism is another totalitarian disease like Nazism and Communism.
"Like the Cold War, as the military historian Eliot Cohen was the first to recognize, the one we are now in has ideological roots, pitting us against Islamofascism, yet another mutation of the totalitarian disease we defeated first in the shape of Nazism and fascism and then in the shape of communism; it is global in scope; it is being fought with a variety of weapons, not all of them military; and it is likely to go on for decades." (Norman Podhoretz ‘The Case for Bombing Iran’ http://www.opinionjournal.com/federation/feature/?id=110010139 May 30, 2007). Only ziono-nazis use the term islamo-fascists.

The so-called War against Terrorism is in reality the Fourth World War.
The jews have been attempting to convert bush’s war against al qaeda into a general war against all those who oppose jewish supremacism in the middle east. "I hope and pray that President Bush will do it (attack iran). Although many persist in denying it, I continue to believe that what Sept 11, 2001, did was to plunge us headlong into nothing less than another world war. I call this new war World War IV, because I also believe that what is generally known as the Cold War was actually World War III, and that this one bears a closer resemblance to that great conflict than it does to World War II." (Norman Podhoretz ‘The Case for Bombing Iran’ http://www.opinionjournal.com/federation/feature/?id=110010139 May 30, 2007). So, world war four is more like world war three than world war two? But it isn’t long before poddy reveals he’s pathologically unable to resist the temptation to equate moslems with hitler and the nazis. If he didn’t keep getting confused by the huge range of demons swirling inside his brain, he’d reinforce the parallels between the third and fourth world wars by referring to moslems as islamo-commies. What this goes to show is that poddy is psychotically fixated on nazism.

Podhoretz believes Islamofascists are involved in a Global Conspiracy against Jews.
"Podhoretz tries to infer that fighting a "world war" against the Islamofascists is identical to fighting world wars against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, and then the Soviet Union. This sounds good if you say it fast, but the selective use of our presidents' words by Podhoretz is just another of his inaccurate assertions. Germany, Japan, and the USSR were modern industrial nation-states that posed direct, tangible, and sustainable military threats to the survival of the United States. The Islamofascist enemy is a specious conjuring of the neoconservatives that does not exist. The Islamist threat personified and led by Osama bin Laden is a direct, tangible, and enduring national-security threat to the United States, but it does not now amount to a world war, and it will not unless the neoconservatives continue to hold sway. We are fighting a war with the Islamists that is ours to lose, and at the moment we are successfully losing it because President Bush and 17 of the 19 individuals in the current crop of presidential candidates buy Podhoretz's lethal lie that the Islamists are "the latest mutation of the totalitarian threat to our civilization" and are, "like the Nazis and the Communists before them … dedicated to the destruction of the freedoms we cherish and for which Americans stand." (14-15) (Michael Scheuer ‘Why Does Norman Podhoretz Hate America? A review of Norman Podhoretz ‘World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism’ http://www.antiwar.com/scheuer/?articleid=11670 September 26, 2007).

Podhoretz believes there are Hitlers under every Bed.
Podhoretz believes arafat was hitler, saddam was hitler, bin laden was hitler, and now it’s the turn of mahmoud ahmadinejad. "Podhoretz sees us at Munich in 1938 and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Hitler. "Like Hitler," writes Podhoretz, Ahmadinejad "is a revolutionary whose objective is to overturn the going international order and to replace it in the fullness of time with a new order dominated by Iran and ruled by the religio-political culture of Islamofascism." Time to return to Planet Earth. Ahmadinejad is not only jeered at Columbia but at colleges in Tehran. He is openly attacked by rivals. He does not control the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. He does not decide on war or peace." (Patrick J. Buchanan ‘Is a Vote for Rudy a Vote for War?’ http://www.antiwar.com/pat/?articleid=11880 November 9, 2007).

Podhoretz believes the Iranian Military is on a Par with the Nazis War Machine.
"He (Ahmadinejad) runs a regime with 2 percent of U.S. gross domestic product, no nukes and no navy or air force to rival ours. He is a Shi'ite in a Sunni world. How is this 5 foot, 4 inch Persian going to strong-arm the United States, Russia and China, not to mention an Israel with 300 nukes, into his "new order"?" (Patrick J. Buchanan ‘Is a Vote for Rudy a Vote for War?’ http://www.antiwar.com/pat/?articleid=11880 November 9, 2007).

Podhoretz transforms Bush’s opposition to Iran acquiring Nuclear Weapons into the need for America to attack Iran before it even starts developing such Weapons.
"In his 2002 State of the Union address, President Bush made a promise: We'll be deliberate, yet time is not on our side. I will not wait on events, while dangers gather. I will not stand by, as peril draws closer and closer. The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons. In that speech, the president was referring to Iraq, but he has made it clear on a number of subsequent occasions that the same principle applies to Iran. Indeed, he has gone so far as to say that if we permit Iran to build a nuclear arsenal, people 50 years from now will look back and wonder how we of this generation could have allowed such a thing to happen, and they will rightly judge us as harshly as we today judge the British and the French for what they did and what they failed to do at Munich in 1938. I find it hard to understand why George W. Bush would have put himself so squarely in the dock of history on this issue if he were resigned to leaving office with Iran in possession of nuclear weapons, or with the ability to build them. Accordingly, my guess is that he intends, within the next 21 months, to order air strikes against the Iranian nuclear facilities from the three U.S. aircraft carriers already sitting nearby." (Norman Podhoretz ‘The Case for Bombing Iran’ http://www.opinionjournal.com/federation/feature/?id=110010139 May 30, 2007).

The Views of other Assorted Zionist Fruitcakes.
The Jewish, Likudnik Extremist, Rudy Giuliani alleges that Ahmadinejad is worse than Stalin.
"The latter (Rudy Giuliani) even made the astonishing assertion that Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong, who join Hitler in the pantheon of humanity's moral monsters, were rational actors compared to Ahmadinejad, who, Fareed Zakaria asks, "has done what that compares?" (Doug Bandow ‘Iran, World War III, and the Madness of President George’ http://www.antiwar.com/bandow/?articleid=11845 November 2, 2007). These are the rantings of someone who seeks vast amounts of cash from wealthy jewish racists to fight his presidential election campaign.

The Jewish racist Shimon Peres believes Ahmadinejad is Hitler.
More hitler phobia from someone regarded by the western world’s jewish establishment as a world statesman. "The world must open its eyes before it is too late," President Shimon Peres said Thursday in reference to the Iranian nuclear threat. "Many times in history it was too late to prevent horrors and bloodshed, for instance with Stalin and Hitler. We are nearing a similar turn of events with Ahmadinejad. We must not ignore Iran's aspiration to become a religious, extremist Persian empire that would rule the entire Mideast," Peres said in a special statement issued by his office. "The Iranian leader is publicly calling for Israel's destruction and investing billions of dollars in developing long-range missiles with the clear intent of loading them with nuclear warheads," the president stressed. Referring to Russia President Vladimir Putin's recent support of Iran, Peres said that "even if Putin says he's not sure that Iran is developing nuclear power for military purposes, everybody knows what Iran's true intentions are, and many intelligence branches around the world have concrete proof indicating that Iran is manufacturing nuclear arms for war and killing."" (Ronny Sofer ‘Peres on Iran: Similar thing happened with Hitler’ http://www.ynetnews.com/Ext/Comp/ArticleLayout/CdaArticlePrintPreview/1,2506,L-3461418,00.html October 18, 2007).

Jewish Money Men financing McCain’s Likudnik Extremism.
"For John McCain to proclaim that Al Qaeda is a bigger threat to US security than was the Soviet Union, which had thousands of nuclear warheads aimed at this country, is to enter Alice's Wonderland." (Juan Cole ‘Combating Muslim Extremism’ http://www.thenation.com/doc/20071119/cole November 1, 2007). This goes to show that if giuliani can feed off wealthy jewish racists to fight his presidential election campaign then so can mccain.

Islamic world as centrally controlled and Militaristic as the Soviet Empire.
"Advocates of the "war on terror" fantasize about the Muslim world as a Soviet Union-type challenge to the United States." (Juan Cole ‘Combating Muslim Extremism’ http://www.thenation.com/doc/20071119/cole November 1, 2007).

The Colossal threat posed by Islamofascists.
Jewish racists believe that islamofascism is "a threat equal to or greater than World War II and the Cold War." (Jim Lobe ‘Et Tu, Cal’ http://www.ips.org/blog/jimlobe/?p=43 July 06, 2007). The man who lives in caves in afghanistan has more military power at his disposal than adolf hitler or stalin???

Jewish Neocons still fighting the Second World War.
"As Heilbrunn, whose Jewish father fled Germany before the war, correctly notes, neoconservatives "see new Munichs everywhere and anywhere", a reference to the 1938 Munich pact by which Britain and France tried to "appease" Hitler by ceding part of Czechoslovakia to Germany. The neoconservatives, according to Heilbrunn, "have shaped a romantic narrative for themselves in which they are the new Churchills staring down the forces of evil." Fear that Saddam Hussein intended a "second holocaust" against Israel served as one of the main motivations for the neoconservative promotion of war with Iraq, according to Heilbrunn. "As Jews, they (and their Catholic conservative allies) were haunted by the memory that the allies had not stopped the Holocaust, and they strongly believed that it was America's obligation to act preemptively to avert another one."" (Jim Lobe ‘Neocons Shaken, But Not Deterred’ http://www.antiwar.com/lobe/?articleid=12263 January 25, 2008).

Bush’s Regurgitation of Zionists’ Views.
War on Terror becoming World War; War is against new Totalitarians; Islamofascists intent on building a totalitarian Islamic empire; bin Laden is the new Adolf Hitler.
Just like podhoretz and other warmongering, paranoid, zionist propagandists, bush believes ‘the war on (non-jewish) terrorism’ is becoming a world war. This world war is against islamofascists seeking to create a totalitarian islamic empire. And of course, bush also regurgitates another old jewish favourite: bin laden is really adolf hitler. "The terrorists have stated their objectives. They intend to build a totalitarian Islamic empire encompassing all current and former Muslim lands stretching from Europe to North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In pursuit of their imperial aims, these extremists say there can be no compromise or dialogue with those they call infidels, a category that includes America, the world's free nation, Jews, and all Muslims who reject their extreme vision of Islam. They reject the possibility of peaceful coexistence with the free world. Again, hear the words of Osama bin Laden last year: Death is better than living on this Earth with the unbelievers among us. History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake. In the early 1900s, the world ignored the words of Lenin as he laid out his plans to launch a communist revolution in Russia, and the world paid a terrible price. The Soviet empire he established killed tens of millions and brought the world to the brink of thermonuclear war. In the 1920s, the world ignored the words of Hitler as he explained his intention to build an Aryan superstate in Germany, take revenge on Europe and eradicate the Jews. And the world paid a terrible price. His Nazi regime killed millions in the gas chambers and set the world aflame in war before it was finally defeated at a terrible cost in lives and treasure. Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. And the question is, will we listen?" (President Bush's Remarks on the Global War on Terror’ http://www.heritage.org/Research/HomelandSecurity/bush110107.cfm November 1, 2007).

The idea that all fringe terrorist groups end up becoming totalitarian dictators was first put forward by the arch jewish extremist joe lieberman. "In an April 2006 interview in the Jerusalem Post, he freely discussed using military force to disarm Iran, noting that the U.S. had learned a lesson from both Osama bin Laden and Hitler that "sometimes when people say really extreme things … they may actually mean it."" (Philip Giraldi ‘Joe Lieberman's War’ http://www.antiwar.com/orig/giraldi.php?articleid=11858 November 6, 2007).

Bush denounces Islamofascists; believes they are Conspiring to create an Islamic Totalitarian Empire - an Islamic Third Reich.
Bush condemns bin laden as (the latest) hitler. He then lumps together all islamic groups around the world and pretends they belong to an islamofascist totalitarian movement. This includes groups who are opposed to bin laden’s tactics, strategy, and philosophy and even those who have suffered at al qaedas hands. Bush believes they are all involved in a global conspiracy with bin laden to gain world domination.

Bush’s terminological conflations are all-pervasive. He denounces islamofascists and frequently refers to them as islamists so that, increasingly, whenever anyone talks about those who adhere to islam they end up being associated with islamofascists.

Bush claims he’s Liberated Iraqis from Tyranny but all he’s done is to unleash an American Terrorist Spree against innocent Iraqi Civilians that Saddam could never have even dreamed of.
"We've removed regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq that had supported terrorists and threatened our citizens and, in so doing, liberated 50 million people from the clutches of tyranny." (President Bush's Remarks on the Global War on Terror’ http://www.heritage.org/Research/HomelandSecurity/bush110107.cfm November 1, 2007).

Bush proclaims the importance of democracy whilst condoning Musharraf Quoshing Democracy in Pakistan.
"Musharraf's move coincides almost to the hour with the thundering speech by President George W Bush at the Heritage Foundation, a Washington-based think-tank, on Thursday in which he blasted the US Congress for failing to take his "war on terror" seriously enough, and he went on to compare Osama bin Laden to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin. Addressing his neo-conservative acolytes, Bush came back to his favorite theme that via his "war on terror", he was actually waging a global war for democracy and freedom. Alas, we knew only a day later that just as Bush was speaking, one of his staunchest allies in his pet global war was squashing democracy and freedom. The US doublespeak becomes all too apparent in the mildly reproachful comment over Musharraf's move, bordering on resignation, by the US spokesmen. It indicates that Washington's dealings with the Musharraf regime will continue and normal business will resume once the dust has settled down." (M K Bhadrakumar ‘Pakistan shakes off US shackles’ http://www.atimes.com/atimes/South_Asia/IK06Df02.html November 06, 2007).

Conclusions.
Bush’s propaganda is drawn wholly from extreme right wing, jewish, likudnik ideologists promoting paranoid global conspiracy theories in order to promote jewish supremacism in the middle east. What makes this sudden surge of interest in bin laden so bizarre is that a few years ago bush stated he was no longer giving the capture of bin laden a top priority. Bush’s warmongering, global conspiracy mania, is borrowed wholesale from jewish racists.

86. America to release Iranian "Terrorists" - November 06, 2007.
Gareth Porter.
"On Nov. 6, a U.S. military spokesman, Rear Adm. Gregory Smith, said it was the military's judgment that two recent large EFP caches predated what he said was an Iranian pledge to Maliki in August. Smith then announced that another round of trilateral working group talks with representatives of Iraq, Iran and the U.S. was expected and that nine Iranians in U.S. custody, including two of the Irbil five, would soon be freed." (Gareth Porter ‘Petraeus Sought to Prevent Release of Iranians’ http://www.antiwar.com/porter/?articleid=11962 November 27, 2007).

Jim Lobe.
"I wrote last month that an important indication of where the balance of power within the administration stands vis-a-vis Iran policy was likely to emerge by the end of October when a decision was due on whether to release the five Irnaians held by U.S. forces in Iraq since they were seized in a raid on the de facto Iranian consulate in Irbili last January 10. I argued that if they were freed, it would strongly suggest that the realist wing of the administration, led by Pentagon chief Robert Gates, was indeed making progress in wresting control of the policy from resurgent hawks. According to press reports out of Baghdad today, it appears that the release of at least two of the five, along with seven other Iranians, is imminent." (Jim Lobe ‘Signs of Detente?’ http://www.ips.org/blog/jimlobe/?p=78 November 06, 2007).

Iranians Released.
"Rhetoric doesn't always match reality in the realm of foreign affairs, and in what may be a further sign that steps are being taken to dial down tensions with Iran, the U.S. military in Baghdad on Friday released nine Iranians in its custody, including two of the five nabbed in Irbil in January, who the U.S. had accused of being linked to Shi'ite militias fighting U.S. troops inside Iraq." (Mark Thompson ‘Reducing Tensions Over Iran?’ http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1682595,00.html?xid=rss-topstories November 09, 2007).

Juan Cole.
Those Iranians that the US military kidnapped from the compound of our ally Abdul Aziz al-Hakim and from the consulate in Irbil? Turns out that they weren't espionage agents after all, or Qods Force operatives, or anything. The US military is releasing them. The charges against them formed one of the bases for the Kyl-Lieberman resolution in the senate and also for the recent designation by Bush of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps as a 'terrorist' organization (even though it is a state organ!) So will those two measures now be repealed?" (Juan Cole ‘14% of Iraqis Displaced’ http://www.juancole.com/2007_11_01_juanricole_archive.html November 11, 2007).

Conclusions.
Lobe pointed out that over the previous three weeks bush had talked about iran triggering world war III, dick cheney had made an "extraordinary bellicose" speech against iran, and then the bush regime announced sanctions against iran’s revolutionary guard corps. However there were also counterbalancing developments. "But the most interesting reaction came from within the Pentagon itself, including Gates’ remarks last Thursday and reports that CentCom commander Adm. William Fallon, who has made it abundantly clear that he strongly opposes a military attack on Iran, had responded favourably to Hagel’s letter to Bush." (Jim Lobe ‘Signs of Detente?’ http://www.ips.org/blog/jimlobe/?p=78 November 06, 2007). It is possible these three propaganda boosts to war with iran were made to compensate for the american military’s release of a number of illegally detained iranians. For the first time this year, the bush regime has taken its foot off the ‘war against iran’ accelerator pedal.

87. George ‘Enron’ Bush drives America’s National Debt to $9 Trillion.
"It's not just that our tastes for foreign goods, including imported oil, vastly exceed our ability to pay for them. We are financing them through massive borrowing. On Nov. 7, 2007, the U.S. Treasury announced that the national debt had breached $9 trillion for the first time ever. This was just five weeks after Congress raised the so-called debt ceiling to $9.815 trillion. If you begin in 1789, at the moment the Constitution became the supreme law of the land, the debt accumulated by the federal government did not top $1 trillion until 1981. When George Bush became president in January 2001, it stood at approximately $5.7 trillion. Since then, it has increased by 45 percent. This huge debt can be largely explained by our defense expenditures in comparison with the rest of the world." (Chalmers Johnson ‘Going Bankrupt: Why the debt crisis is now the greatest threat to the American republic’ http://www.antiwar.com/engelhardt/?articleid=12248 January 23, 2008).

88. Responses to Ahmadinejad’s announcement that Iran has linked up 3,000 Centrifuges - November 08, 2007.
It is not possible for 3,000 centrifuges to enrich uranium to create a fissile nuclear bomb. Those who insist that it is are shit-stirring, warmongering, paranoid fruitcakes not nuclear scientists. For an elaboration of this point please see ‘The Jews’ 3,000 Centrifuge Trigger for War with Iran’
http://www.geocities.com/carbonomics/WorksLatest/10tf26z030.html

Fears that Traitorous Jews will Plunge world into World War Three.
"The British paper quoted military sources in the US capital as saying that the figure presented by Ahmadinejad (for the number of centrifuges being used in iran’s nuclear enrichment programme) could be the "tipping point" that touches off an IAF strike. Washington was reluctant to go forward with a strike against Iran, but Israel was a "different matter," the officials said." (Yaakov Katz, Mark Weiss ‘'US afraid of an Israeli strike following Iranian announcement' http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1192380761787&pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull November 08, 2007).

Bush helpless to stop the Jews from attacking Iran which will cause the deaths of American troops trapped in Afghanistan and Iraq? Jews’ Sacrificing American Lives for the good of the Jews-only State.
An article in the rupert murdoch owned timesonline suggests that the bush regime fears the jews-only state might attack iran. But for a proprietor who supposedly cares so much about the security of american troops, there is no mention that such an attack would lead to american troops being put in harms way if iran retaliated for being attacked. If iran retaliated after being attacked by the jews-only state then, in effect, the jews would be responsible for killing and injuring thousands of american troops. "A claim by President Ahmadinejad that Iran has 3,000 working uranium-enriching centrifuges sent a tremor across the world yesterday amid fears that Israel would respond by bombing the country’s nuclear facilities. Military sources in Washington said that the existence of such a large number could be a "tipping point", triggering an Israeli air strike. The Pentagon is reluctant to take military action against Iran, but officials say that Israel is a "different matter". Amid the international uproar, British MPs who were to have toured the nuclear facility were backing out of their Iran trip. Even before President Ahmadinejad’s announcement, a US defence official told The Times yesterday: "Israel could do something when they get to around 3,000 working centrifuges. The Pentagon is minded to wait a little longer." US experts say 3,000 machines running for long periods could make enough enriched uranium for an atomic bomb within a year." (Tom Baldwin, James Hider, and Francis Elliott ‘US fears Israeli strike against Iran over latest nuclear claim’ http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article2827787.ece November 8, 2007).

89. ‘Combat Outpost Shocker’ in Iraq now completed - November 8, 2007.
It was noted in section 40 that the american military was to build an airbase in southern iraq. Lobe suspected that the military offered this as a compromise to its refusal to carry out a military operation against iran. In section 79 it was noted there were allegations the west was already engaged in skirmishing against iranian border guards. Pepe escobar amalgamates the two stories. "On a parallel level, the Pentagon has practically finished a base in southern Iraq less than 10 kilometers from the border with Iran called Combat Outpost Shocker. The Pentagon maintains this is for the US to prevent Iranian weapons from being smuggled into Iraq. Rather, it's to control a rash of US covert, sabotage operations across the border targeting Iran's Khuzestan province." (Pepe Escobar ‘Iraq: Call an air strike’ http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IK10Ak03.html November 10, 2007).

90. American Military back to playing the Likudniks’ ‘Blame Iran’ game again - November 11, 2007.
"The quantity of Iranian bomb-making components being found in Iraq is increasing despite a fall in attacks and 20 Iranian-trained agents are still operating south of Baghdad, a top U.S. general said on Sunday. Extensive Iranian influence in Iraq remained evident, said Major-General Rick Lynch, despite signs of a possible easing of tensions between Washington and Tehran over security in Iraq. "Iranian influence is dominant at many levels," said Lynch, whose area of command extends from Baghdad's southern suburbs south through Sunni Arab insurgent strongholds to the major Shi'ite cities of Kerbala and Najaf. Lynch said his troops were chasing 20 "targets" he identified as Iraqi Shi'ites who were agents for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps's (IRGC) elite Qods Force. "They were trained in Iran and they're conducting operations in our battle space," Lynch told reporters. "They're Iraqis but they're IRGC surrogates and they're still out there." Lynch said in August that military intelligence suggested there were about 50 IRGC troops in southern Iraq training Shi'ite militias in the use of mortars and rockets. His latest comments came despite an apparent softening of rhetoric by U.S. officials in Baghdad towards Iran." 91. Commentators suspect a Lull - November 13, 2007.
A number of commentators have noted that the scale and intensity of anti-iranian propaganda being pumped out by the bush regime has declined over the last couple of weeks.

Patrick J. Buchanan.
Is a Bush preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear enrichment plant at Natanz, or on the al-Quds force of the Revolutionary Guard, a more remote possibility today than it was several weeks ago? So it would seem." (Patrick J. Buchanan ‘Is World War III on Hold?’ http://www.antiwar.com/pat/?articleid=11899 November 13, 2007).

92. The IAEA releases Report on Iranian Nuclear Developments - November 15, 2007.
IAEA states there has been no diversion of Nuclear Material in Iran.
"Hallelujah! The International Atomic Energy Agency has, once again, verified "the non-diversion of declared nuclear material in Iran." It seems the Iranians continue to provide the IAEA access to all "special nuclear materials", as proscribed by the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and all relevant nuclear material accountancy reports, as well as access to all activities involving said materials." (Gordon Prather ‘IAEA Again Verifies Iranian Compliance’ http://www.antiwar.com/prather/?articleid=11923 November 17, 2007).

Release of IAEA’s Report on Iran confirms that Iran is Running 3,000 Centrifuges.
"A senior UN official confirmed a claim by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that Iran had reached a key target of 3,000 centrifuges enriching uranium." (Olivier Knox ‘US talks tough over Iran, warns China’ http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071115/pl_afp/usirannuclearunchina_071115213315 November 15, 2007).

Bush pushes for third round of UN Sanctions against Iran.
After a few days of minor conciliatory gestures towards iran, the release of the iaea’s report on iran has provoked the bush regime into reverting back to form. "The U.N.'s nuclear watchdog said today that Iran had been mostly forthcoming about the history of its nuclear program but had left many questions about its current activities unanswered, leading the United States to push for new Security Council sanctions on the Persian Gulf nation." (Maggie Farley ‘Iran reveals how it built nuclear program, U.N. says’ http://fairuse.100webcustomers.com/fairenough/latimesD27.html November 15, 2007); "The much-anticipated report on Iran by the head of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that was released this week confirms "substantial progress" in Iran's cooperation with the agency and the steady resolution of disputed issues and, yet, the US government has reacted swiftly by belittling Iran's cooperation and maintaining its aggressive push for a new round of United Nations sanctions on Iran." (Kaveh L Afrasiabi ‘US dismisses nuclear report on Iran’ http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IK17Ak01.html November 17, 2007).

Bush Regime threatens China over third round of UN Sanctions against Iran.
"The United States accused Iran Thursday of "stringing along" UN watchdogs investigating its nuclear ambitions and bluntly warned China not to block new sanctions against the Islamic republic. US officials talked tough after the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran had made "substantial progress" but still needed to be more pro-active in shedding light on its atomic program. At the United Nations, US envoy Zalmay Khalilzad accused China of stalling on sanctions designed to punish Iran's refusal to halt uranium enrichment. Enriched uranium can be used to generate nuclear power, but also in a highly refined form, to make nuclear weapons. "I don't think China would want to be in a position to cause a failure of diplomacy to deal with this issue," Khalilzad told reporters. But Washington has been frustrated at the UN Security Council by the reluctance of China in particular to intensify two earlier rounds of global sanctions against the Iranian regime. "It's in everyone's interest for this world-defining issue to be resolved diplomatically," Khalilzad said." (Olivier Knox ‘US talks tough over Iran, warns China’ http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071115/pl_afp/usirannuclearunchina_071115213315 November 15, 2007).

93. American Military says something nice about Iran - November 15, 2007.
"A US general on Wednesday acknowledged Iran's role in helping quell the bloodshed in Iraq, saying Tehran had contributed to stopping the flow of arms across the border into the country. Lieutenant General James Dubik, who is in charge of training Iraqi security forces, said Tehran was keeping to its pledge of stopping the smuggling of weapons to Iraqi extremists. "We are all thankful for the commitment Iran has made to reduce the flow in weapons, explosives and training (of extremists) in Iraq," Dubik told reporters in Baghdad's Green Zone. "As a result of that, it has made some contribution to the reduction of violence" in Iraq, he said." (‘US general says Iran helping stop Iraq bloodshed’ http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071121/pl_afp/iraqunrestusiran_071121145158 November 21, 2007).

94. Jews focusing for the right Language to drive Americans into War with Iran - November 19, 2007.
"On November 1, she went to the offices of Martin Focus Groups in Alexandria, Virginia, knowing she would be paid $150 for two hours of her time. After joining a half dozen other women in a conference room, she discovered that she had been called in for what seemed an unusual assignment: to help test-market language that could be used to sell military action against Iran to the American public. "The whole basis of the whole thing was, 'we're going to go into Iran and what do we have to do to get you guys to along with it?" says Sonnenmark, 49. After an earlier version of this story attributing the focus group to Freedom's Watch was posted, Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, the founder and president of the Israel Project, contacted Mother Jones and said that her group had commissioned the focus group and that it was designed by Public Opinion Strategies, a Republican polling firm. The Israel Project is a nonprofit group that supports Israel and conducts extensive polling on American public attitudes toward Israel and the Middle East. Its board of advisers includes 15 Democratic and Republican members of the House and the Senate, plus actor Ron Silver. Mizrahi says that her group and Freedom's Watch share a common interest in "thwarting the threat of Islamic extremism" and in "dealing with the threat of Iran." But Freedom's Watch "in no way is directing our work, and it's not funding our work." She pointed out that the Israel Project is not "involved with Iraq," a major concern of Freedom's Watch. But the two outfits, she said, "shared information" produced by this focus group." (Laura Rozen ‘Focus Grouping War with Iran’ http://www.motherjones.com/washington_dispatch/2007/11/freedoms-watch-iran.html November 19, 2007).

95. Hysterical, Paranoid, Loonies still see Ahmadinejad as Hitler - November 22, 2007.
"Podhoretz, who is serving as a foreign policy adviser to Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, said that Ahmadinejad is "like Hitler" who wants to replace the international system with "the religio-political culture of Islamofascism." And Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ), invoking the same Ahmadinejad-is-Hitler analogy, recalled that, "During the run up to World War II, Europe failed to heed the warnings" about the threat that Nazi Germany posed to the world." (Leon Hadar ‘Look Who's Downplaying Iran's Nuclear Threat’ http://www.antiwar.com/hadar/?articleid=11943 November 22, 2007).

96. American Military ready for War with Iran - November 23, 2007.
"The United States military machine is undiminished after four years of fighting in Iraq and is more prepared than ever to face any threat from Iran, one of the US military’s most senior officials said. Admiral Timothy Keating, head of US military operations in 41 countries, was speaking in Bahrain days after Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad labelled the US army "shabby", and said his Western foes had "rusty and disabled weapons". "I don’t think our capability has diminished at all," said Keating, Commander of US Pacific Command and former head of navy operations in the Gulf. Bahrain, an island close to Iran, is home to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet. Working with British and Australian ships, the fleet is tasked with maintaining stability in the region, and often conducts exercises on Iran’s doorstep." 97. Annapolis Conference supposed to bring Peace in Palestine but the Jews focus it on the need to attack Iran - November 26, 2007.
It was hailed as a three day conference which would lead to the start of a settlement of the palestinian issue but the jews reduced it to a 24 hour meeting to try and persuade sunni arab leaders to join a jewish-american attack on iran.

The Views of Martin Indyk and David Makovsky.
"For the US, moderate Arab states, Israel, and the Palestinian supporters of Mahmoud Abbas, "finding a way to counter the threat from Tehran … is fueling this peace meeting more than any other factor," says Martin Indyk, a former US negotiator on the Middle East who is now director of the Brookings Institution's Saban Center on the Middle East in Washington. Expectations for the Annapolis meeting, to be held at the US Naval Academy in Maryland's capital, are "lower than the Dead Sea," says David Makovsky, director of the project on the Middle East Peace Process at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who has focused much of her attention this year on Iran containment, hopes to use the Annapolis meeting to "pull Syria out of Tehran's orbit," Makovsky says. As one Arab diplomat told Makovsky, the real purpose of Annapolis is to "take the Palestinian card out of Ahmadinejad's hand," he notes." (Howard LaFranchi ‘Behind Mideast summit: the Iran factor’ http://www.csmonitor.com/2007/1126/p01s03-usfp.html November 26, 2007).

The Views of Jerusalem Post, Ha'aretz.
"Tuesday's Arab-Israeli peace summit in Annapolis, Maryland, is supposed to be about resolving long-standing Palestinian issues, the Golan Heights, and other contentious matters. But, increasingly, it is framed in the United States and Israeli media as a dual-purpose conference, the other being the containment of Iran. Thus, an editorial in the Jerusalem Post writes that "the process that Annapolis seeks to launch will be inherently conditional on Western success against the Iranian challenge ... The idea that holding an Arab-Israeli peace summit would be a setback for Iran is a valid one." The more liberal Ha'aretz went even further by stating the goal of the Annapolis conference to be the formation of a "global coalition against Iran". Similarly, in the US a number of pundits have painted Annapolis as a "means of sorts of cementing a coalition against Iran and its allies", to paraphrase Tamar Cofman Wittes of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy. According to Cofman and a host of media pundits paraded on American television news programs, Annapolis is President George W Bush's wakeup call to the world on the "Iran threat"." (Kaveh L Afrasiabi ‘Iran: The uninvited guest a peace summit’ http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IK27Ak05.html November 27, 2007).

The Views of Philip Giraldi.
"Behind the scenes, the United States and Israel were less interested in making peace with the Palestinians than they were in building up a de facto coalition of Arab states against Iran, which is why there was intense diplomatic pressure to obtain the participation of every Arab country. Many foreign ministries only reluctantly sent-low ranking officials, knowing in advance that the views of anyone but Israel and the United States were irrelevant. The decision on whom not to invite was also significant. The refusal to include Tehran and Hamas was irrational if there was any serious intention to address the core issues that might lead to peace in the Middle East, but it was perfectly rational if one assumes that one aim of the conference was to marginalize the two and confirm their pariah status." (Philip Giraldi ‘The Anti-Iran Annapolis Conference’ http://www.antiwar.com/orig/giraldi.php?articleid=11998 December 4, 2007).

98. The Flow of Military accusations against Iran continues - November 26, 2007.
"Shi'ite militias in volatile parts of Baghdad continue to receive support from Iran, a U.S. commander said on Monday, in contrast to U.S. officials who noted positive developments in Iran's role inside Iraq. Army Col. Don Farris, commander of U.S. troops in the Sadr City and Adamiya areas of Baghdad, said the number of attacks in his sector had dropped 75 percent since May. But there has been no decline in the operations of Shi'ite extremist groups or the support they receive from Iran in weapons, funding or training, he said. "While the violence is down, I remain very concerned in our sector about these special groups," Farris said of the Shi'ite fighters who operate separately from Moqtada al Sadr's Mehdi Army. "They're very lethal, they're organized, they're sophisticated and I have not seen that their operations have declined or diminished in any way, shape or form here in the last several months," he said." (Kristin Roberts ‘U.S. commander: Iran still supporting Iraqi militias’ http://uk.reuters.com/article/oilRpt/idUKN2640880520071126 November 26, 2007).

99. Bush defending Europe against Iran - November 30, 2007.
"Some analysts have suggested that a U.S. military withdrawal from Iraq would wreak havoc in the Middle East in a way that could threaten European strategic interests. And Bush has emphasized the need "to defend Europe against the emerging Iranian threat." But if that is the case, why aren't the Europeans spending more of their economic resources on building their military power to protect themselves against these threats in the Middle East, a region that is, after all, geographically closer to Europe than America?" (Leon Hadar ‘Outside View: Euro thaw not what it seems’ http://www.upi.com/International_Security/Emerging_Threats/Analysis/2007/11/30/outside_view_euro_thaw_not_what_it_seems/9578/ November 30, 2007).
